Hi

My name is Chase.
Nice to meet You.

I used to love to sit in my mom’s lap and watch her sketch. With just a pencil, out of the paper would pop these lifelike images of “big cats”. She would draw them for her father, my grandpa. Him and I would spend a lot of time together, so my love for these big cats naturally came from him and it always increased my love of art.

Adoring my mother’s ability to draw, it just seemed natural to me that everywhere I went, I was asking for a pencil and paper. That love of drawing lead me to the Art Institute of Seattle, a place where art lovers were encouraged to explore their creative genes.

Seattle is also the place where my grandmother gave me her old Minolta camera and said, “Take good care of it.” I don’t know where that old Minolta is anymore, but I sure know what it has done for me. It taught me a language that, alongside that trusty pencil, I use to communicate and share stories.

From those gorgeous Seattle landscapes to the famous football fields of the University of Southern California and the people and teams of Memphis and the mid-south, I love where art, creativity, and photography has taken me.
